About Cork CPC Training
Cork CPC Training provide DRIVER CPC courses based in the Oriel House Hotel, Ballincollig, Co Cork.
Instruction is by Jim Mulcahy – Providing a personal service to both individuals and companies helping monitor drivers to making sure both the driver and company meet the legal requirements under European Union law, Directive 2003/59/EC.
As a qualified CPC Instructor I provide training on all modules from 1 to 6:
1) Control of Vehicle and Eco Driving Techniques
2) Minimising Risks and Managing Emergencies in the Transport Industry
3) Health and Safety of the Professional Driver
4) Role of the Professional Driver in the Transport Industry
5) The Professional Truck, if you are a professional truck driver
6) The Professional Bus, if you are a professional bus driver
Jim Mulcahy
I'm a qualified motor mechanic having worked on all types of Heavy Goods Vehicles. lectured for two years as a visiting lecturer in the Motor Department of the Regional College, now Cork Institute of Technology. I served 33 years as a full time Fireman and Officer in the Cork City Fire Department, where I was involved in driver training bringing Fireman to a standard and skill level required to meet the demands of the emergency services. During this period I attended all manner of road traffic accidents from minor collisions to major road traffic incidents. This allows me to bring a wealth of knowledge and real life experience to my courses.
